Anion exchange resins can be divided into cationic resins, anionic resins, double-bed resins, polishing core-grade resins and so on. The main function of anion exchange resins is to reduce hardness. Water with high hardness in life is not suitable for drinking and washing. It has high hardness and easy scaling in industry, which affects the quality of equipment.
The advantage of anion exchange resin is that it can be recycled. After each adsorption saturation, it can be recycled by salt and industrial salt. After each adsorption saturation, it can be regenerated and activated by industrial salt/salt. Usually, it is widely used in industry. Its advantages are low price, small area and the common feature of softening resin is that it can be recycled. However, the regenerant for rebedding is Sodium hydroxide and industrial hydrochloric acid are used, so the regenerated wastewater will be polluted to a certain extent.
Ion exchange resin is usually installed in double bed or reverse osmosis to produce high-purity water. Because its water has been treated by double bed and reverse osmosis, the water quality is superior, so its life cycle is longer than that of double bed. Its characteristics are similar to that of double bed. Polishing core-grade resin is a very fine resin. Its effluent can reach the highest standard of pure water in theory, but because of its superior quality, its life cycle is longer than that of double bed. Special performance, belongs to disposable goods, use cycle according to the relationship between water quality and water consumption, replacement cycle is different.
The application of cation exchange resin is a key research topic in sugar industry at home and abroad in recent years, and it is an important symbol of the modernization of sugar industry. The application of membrane separation technology in sugar industry has also been extensively studied. Ion exchange resins are made by organic synthesis.
The common raw material is styrene or acrylic acid (ester), which is prepared by polymerization to form a framework with three-dimensional spatial network structure, and then by introducing different types of chemical active groups (usually acidic or alkaline groups) into the framework. Ion exchange resins are insoluble in water and general solvents. Most of them are granular, but some are fibrous or powdery.
The size of resin particles is generally in the range of 0.3-1.2 mm, most of which are in the range of 0.4-0.6 mm. They have high mechanical strength (robustness), chemical stability and long service life under normal conditions. Ion exchange resins contain one or several chemically active groups, which are exchange functional groups. They can dissociate some cations (e.g. h or na) or anions (e.g. oh-or cl-) in aqueous solution and adsorb other cations or anions that existed in the solution at the same time. That is to say, the ions in the resin exchange with the ions in the solution, so that the ions in the solution can be separated. The main properties and types of resins are determined by the types of chemical active groups in resins. Firstly, it can be divided into cationic resins and anionic resins, which can exchange ions with cations and anions in solution respectively.
